The Siangyang National Forest Recreation Area is situated at the 154.5 km mark on the Southern Cross-Island Highway (Provincial Highway 20). Currently, there is no public transportation, and access is by driving or rental service. Take Highway 9 to Chishang Township and turn into Highway 20A. Drive for about 5 km, and turn right into Highway 20. The Siangyang National Forest Recreation Area is at the 154.5 km on the highway. Walk from the Siangyang National Forest Recreation Area to the trailhead of the Jiaming Lake National Trail.
